Mission Statement:  

In alignment with Code of Alabama 11-5-31, the Alabama Coroners Training Commission strives to establish and uphold minimum training requirements for coroners and deputy coroners, ensuring their preparedness to perform medico-legal death investigations with compassion and professionalism. Through accessible training programs, optional certification opportunities, and innovative resources, we aim to support coroners in their vital roles, fostering public trust and improving the quality of death investigations across Alabama. Our mission is rooted in collaboration, education, and continuous improvement to uphold the highest standards in service to the citizens of Alabama.

  • Rebekah Boswell, Forensic Pathology Manager, Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences (appointed by Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for 2 years) 
  • Charles Adcox, Franklin County Coroner (appointed by Alabama Coroners Association President for 2 years)
